What’s “Live Virtual Theatre”? You follow a link and find yourself transported into the private fictional video conference calls of businesses, families, and friends in an ongoing series of new plays. The performances are live, the actors are professional and the experience is remarkable.

Description:Safe Distance is a peek into the video conference meeting of fictional pressed juice company “Getting Fresh?” as they navigate quarantine, company secrets and how the hell to mute and un-mute yourself. Andréa Agosto, Jill Drexler, Timothy L. Cabal and Matthew Salzar-Thompson.

Theatre Is The Cure

A virtual theatrical event in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

March 27th at 6:30pm Pacific time (US.)

Description: Theatre artists from all over the world will come together to share live theatre with audiences everywhere in the comfort of their own homes, or wherever they have access to wifi. Thirty PLAYWRIGHTS will write one original monologue each. Thirty DIRECTORS will be matched with a script and one of thirty ACTORS to rehearse via teleconference, culminating in a live event streaming worldwide.

Description: Convergence Theatre presents its virtual performance of Snapshots by Asif Majid. Snapshots is the latest production in Convergence’s Incubation Cycle. This new and innovative dramatic text examines the intersection of Islam, sexuality, history, and cultural appropriation in an effort to foster open and supportive dialogue about these issues. Framed as a series of video and phone interactions between two couples, Snapshots delves into the struggles to embrace and communicate the multiple identities one can hold.
